My name is Helen Harness. I've been working in the healthcare industry for 40 years. I have worked in hospitals and in homecare. I helped people with their physical therapy in both settings. I have learned about nutrition to help people who live at home to stay health. I became proficient in diabetic diets, low sodium diets, diets for people with cholesterol diets. I promote eating whole fruits and vegetables, fresh is best. Low fat meats. no sodas, limit juice, and plenty of water for hydration. I use different modals , free weights, exercise bands, yoga, pilates, body weight exercises and calisthenics. My philosophy is strength building and mobility. I don't believe in bulk building, that limits range of motion. I encourage people to relay on measurements instead of checking their weight as build muscle doesn't show on a scale. I became a certified personal trainer during the pandemic because I want to help people become healthy. Proper exercise and nutrition is the best way to achieve this. It is my goal to reach as my people as possible though this website.
